What the coronavirus means for us!

Dear visitor,

Due to the current worldwide situation, we have had to close our doors to the public as part of the effort to slow down the spread of the coronavirus. Every industry in the world right now is going through a massive disruption and we are no exception.

We have moved into crisis mode!

We are still caring for the 600 animals currently in our care and new animals are still arriving daily, although we have had to close our doors to the public. Much of the work, cleaning, feeding, medical care, and walking is falling onto skeleton staff and volunteers.

Meanwhile adoptions, events, fundraisers, markets etc. - the lifeline of our existence - have been cancelled.

It could not have come at a worse time!

Even before the coronavirus crisis we were bracing for tough times, as March and April typically bring unwanted animals and litters of puppies and kittens. Our operating costs stay the same, but our income has greatly disappeared.

Therefore, we ask all our website visitors, before you leave our site, to please go to our help page and see how you can help. Either by making a donation or sponsoring any of our animals.

All donations are welcome right now - big or small. We cannot do it without your help, especially at this very difficult time.

If you are interested in adoption at this time please send an email to to start the adoption process.

Thank you for your support and please stay safe.

Welcome to the Triple A Marbella website.

We are an officially registered, non-profit animal charity association with number 02604 in Registro de Asociaciones de Junta de Andalucía.

Triple A is mostly run by volunteers, dedicated to the care of abandoned and abused animals on the Costa del Sol in the Marbella to San Pedro area.  We give them love, shelter, medical care, and where possible find new homes for them so that they can have a second chance for a happy life.

All animals, +/- 500 dogs and cats, are in our care until we find them a new home!  We have a no kill policy and we will never put down a healthy animal.

We are supported by the Marbella Town Hall, which provides the site our refuge is built on, and helps Triple A with a small amount of funding and our electricity bills. However, we mainly survive by membership fees, donations, sponsors, and fund raising events, etc.  We do need your help!

Please browse our site, get to know us and our animals, and please help us when you can. Please see our Help page to find out how.
